This morning I visited Frans Eerdmans. Owner and Master Distiller at BioSpirits. Frans’ goal is to make purely biological certified drinks. And how! So far, he is making bio vodka, bio schnaps, bio dry gin, bio whiskey (single malt, bourbon, rye) and various eau de vies. Frans uses iStill equipment and just ordered an additional iStill 250.

I tried the Bourbon ferment. Not done yet, but very nice and clean smell and taste. I also tried his eau de vie from plumbs. Smooth, tasty and without any headsy sharpness present. That’s quite an achievements when working with fruits in general, and plumbs in special! I got a bottle of of their Bio Dry Gin. Will try that next week, Frans!
